Get ready for your big day with ease thanks to this bridal checklist - it's the ultimate guide for brides-to-be with 6 months till their special day! Let's get started!

With six months until your big day, you’ll want to make sure you’ve got everything in order! Use this bridal checklist as your guide to getting yourself and your wedding organised—from booking vendors to organising the guest list for your wedding photographer, there’s a lot of tasks for you to tick off.

6 Months until your wedding day

Setting a budget and sticking to it is one of the most important things you’ll do as a bride-to-be.

It can be difficult to put a price on your dream day, but it’s important to set limits so that you don’t overspend. That way, you’ll have money for the big extras as well as being able to save for your honeymoon or any other post-wedding trips you may have planned. Set yourself and your partner goals for how much you’d like to spend, then review every expense against that budget until the big day.

This one is for the wedding photographers.

Drafting a guest list not only for the final guest list but creating a group shot list for the photographers and sending out save the date invitations is an important step in the wedding planning process. When creating your list, keep in mind the number of guests who will fit comfortably in the venue you have chosen.

Storytelling Wedding Photographers

Choose the perfect colour palette for your wedding theme.

When choosing colours for your wedding theme, consult with the bridal party, venue, the florist vendors like “Flower Style in Beverley”, The Wedding Decor like one of our bride and groom’s wedding at “Something Borrowed Venue Decor” and other vendors. Taking into consideration all of the colours in each vendor’s portfolio can give you a good idea of what colours you should choose.

If some members of your bridal party have special requests on colours they wish to wear, make sure they are all taken into consideration too when selecting the colours palette.

Once a decision is made, notify all vendors and align them on the same page so that they’re on the same wavelength as you and ensure your dream wedding theme will come alivelike

Finalise the venue and ceremony details.

Now that you have your colours selected, it’s time to focus on the venue and ceremony details. Tour the venues you are interested in and make sure it meets all of your needs. With 6 months left until your wedding day, make sure to discuss contracts, pricing, and payment plans with each venue so that everything can be prepared early. Once that is sorted out, also ensure that the staff at each location are familiar with the ceremony program as well as other important information such as decorations, music, and seating arrangements.

Colour Pallets

Plan for entertainment, meetings and activities with vendors, such as the caterer, florist and photographer.

You’ll need to make time for meetings with vendors such as the caterer, florist, your Wedding photographer and DJ – depending on the style of wedding you’re having. It’s important to discuss the packages available, dietary requirements and payment arrangements in advance of your big day. Have a look at local bands or DJs online and if necessary, book them for entertainment at the reception. If there is any specific activity you would like such as a photo booth or a Magic Mirror – get in contact with vendors about availability and plan accordingly.

Your Big Day Has Arrived. Congratulations.
