Caroline and Mark’s Wedding at St Michael’s, Garton

When Caroline and Mark made the choice to become husband and wife at St Michael’s Church in Garton, they couldn’t have picked a more idyllic and peaceful setting. Stunning views and tranquility were aplenty here, and Jason and I felt that this grade 1 listed building couldn’t have been a more perfect location for such a wonderful couple.

While Caroline and her bridesmaids had their hair and make-up done, Jason and I set to work capturing the details that would long be forgotten once the day was over (after a delicious bacon and sausage sandwich, of course. What better way to start the day!).

We began capturing the details of Caroline’s stunning dress, which couldn’t have been more fitting for such a beautiful wedding. No sooner had we started (or so it felt) than Carolines elegant Rolls Royce arrived to take her to the church. Which meant it was time for Jason and I to make our way to St Michaels and catch up with the groom and the groomsmen for a few pictures.

As Caroline arrived and Mark awaited her at the bottom of the aisle, one could almost feel the excitement and anticipation from everyone there waiting to catch a glimpse of the beautiful bride, and from Mark waiting to catch a glimpse of his wife to be.

The vows were simply beautiful, and as Caroline and Mark shared their first kiss as husband and wife, Jason and I felt privileged to be the ones to capture such a wonderful moment in time.

“They were showered in confetti”

As the new Mr & Mrs Peacock made their way out of the church, they were showered in confetti, a tradition which comes from Italy and is said to bestow prosperity and fertility upon the happy couple. We then made our way to 1884 Dock Street Kitchen where the celebrations continued into the evening. Thankfully we were blessed with the tremendous summer sun, which gave opportunities to capture the Bride and Groom, and their guests, into the afternoon. We were also lucky enough to be able to use the magnificent and historic Humber Street as a backdrop, with lights illuminating both sides.

Thank you for giving us the honour of capturing your day. We had an excellent day and we hope you love your images as much as we loved capturing them.
