Professional Bump to Baby photographer
We all know babies grow so quick its unbelievable, moment can be missed, I feel privileged to be able to capture those precious moments of your baby perhaps with you or other family members.
Babies are always developing at a rate we cannot always keep up with, it’s amazing how quick they grow up and how quickly you forget their little stages. I as your baby photographer will aim to capture some of these key moments in your babies early years – be it early smiles, playing on their play gym, playing with their hands and feet, rolling, the list is endless.
As your baby photographer I always like to work in a relaxed manor, so if baby doesn’t want to play ball, lets wait a bit longer, as a wedding photographer too I have lifestyle photography experience, capturing portraits on location as well as being capable of working in a studio, I feel its a good quality that that I can bring to baby photography
I hear you saying “How does a baby photo shoot work?”
I want the baby photo shoot to be fun, relaxed and calm for everyone involved. The photo shoot is laid-back and normally takes between one and half and two and half hours. It’s very much baby-led. Baby photography is unpredictable, which tends to mean we prioritise particular shots you want.
The sessions take place in your home or at a location of our choosing. This works great for most people (you don’t have to go anywhere), everything you need is readily available, baby is familiar with the sounds and smells going on around them, and nursing/feeding breaks are possible and relaxed.
What clothes do I Recommend?
I’ll aim at taking some photos of baby in just nappies, maybe nappy covers, crochet nappy pants etc. so on the day of the shoot I ask that you turn your heating up a fraction. I suggest patterned clothing as in the final image it tends to be distracting and draws your eyes away from the baby. Keep it natural.
Do I need any photography props?
No. You don’t need props. I have a lots of baby props, both boy and girl that I bring to you on the day of our session, chances are that you’ll have some props, teddies, etc that we might try to incorporate.
what happens now?
If you are wanting to book in for a baby portrait, I will require some info from you, however We’ll have chatted beforehand to decide what sort of photos you are looking for.
I require you to pay for the session and then have the chance to order prints, framed photos and books after the images are edited.
How much is it, there’s the question you want the answer to?
a baby shoot sitting fee is standard at £45 and then you have the chance to order prints, frames, mini books and more.
When is a good time for baby photography?
This depends on the type of shoot, if its newborn photography I would personally suggest a sleepy, well fed baby, where as a toddler you need them wide awake, fed and happy. You know your child’s routine better than I do, I tend to discuss this in-depth before hand to arrange a convenient time with you.
